Lily wants a hippopotamus for Christmas

Cute video of Lily singing this song. Will has been teaching it to her for the past month.

Pumpkin festival at Kidspace

We went to the pumpkin festival at the Kidspace museum this past weekend. They had some carnival games and crafts for Lily. We didn't take the kids in their costumes because it was way to hot! Lily enjoyed the cookie decorating.

Benjamin's Smoothie

Lily asks me often to make her a smoothie (this is not a word she has mastered yet, it is very cute when she says it). The other day when I made her smoothie (frozen berries blended with orange juice) Benjamin was very interested in trying it so I was feeding him a few spoonfuls from mine. While feeding him I walked away to help Lily with something and this is what I found when I returned. Luckily most of it went on the tray and not into his mouth. He just loves to eat!!!

Lily at daddy's work

One day we were waiting for daddy when picking him up at work and Lily asked me to take her picture in front of daddy's work. After I took the picture she asked to take my picture in the same spot. These are those pictures, I don't think photography is Lily's calling, but she is very proud of taking a picture all by herself.

Fires and Smoke

Our area is surrounded by the California fires so we have seen a lot of smoke. Stroller strides was canceled on Wednesday since we couldn't be outside. We had a tough day because Lily really wanted to go out, but the smoke was just really thick. Even on Friday as we walked home from stroller strides I noticed my eyes and throat burning. Benjamin also seems to have allergies as his eyes were really watery when the Santa Ana winds came in. Other than that the weather here has been great.

Pumpkin Painting

We went to a stroller strides playdate that involved painting a pumpkin. Lily had lots of fun. She used paint with glitter in it. It was fun watching all the kids paint.

An exersaucer for Benjamin

We chose to get an exersaucer for Benjamin because it is a great place for him to remain upright which is very necessary for his GER problem. I didn't realize how much he would enjoy it. After some research I found that the baby einstein seemed to have the best reviews. I decided to buy a used one as I knew we were not going to use it much. I was lucky enough to find one at a yard sale for $15 in good condition!

Lily paints herself!

This is what happens when a 2 1/2 year old gets a hold of the markers. I try to keep the craft supplies out of reach but she is getting creative in getting to them. One morning she covered her entire body in tatoos, it was really cute.

Missing in Action

I want to apoligize for the long delay in adding a new post. We were having internet problems, which may or may not be fixed now. Not much new has been going on. Both kids have been sick on and off. We have been stroller striding everyday, much to Benjamins dismay as he does not really like to be in the stroller. Lily's language skills are amazing, I think she has a larger vocabulary than I do. Benjamin is getting better at crawling. Will continues to go to the "salt mines" everyday and I am taking my time enjoying spending time with 2 babies.
