Benjamin's First Step?

I am not sure if this constitutes as a first step but I was filming Benjamin to show he was "cruising" and he took a step out toward me. It was really cute and I am so happy I was able to record his first try.

Park play on President's Day

We spent a little time at a different park than we normally go to on President's day. There were no other kids there so Benjamin was able to crawl about the structure without getting run over. Lily and Benjamin went down the slide together, it was very cute.

Watch Out...Lily is Driving

We went to a friends house today and Lily got to try out driving the Jeep. She didn't quite get the steering, but she had a lot of fun. Benjamin rode with her for a few minutes and had a great time. Her friend also has a baby sized four wheeler but Lily wasn't interested in driving it.

Letter D playdate

Last friday the theme of our play date was the letter "D." It was at this time I realized the Benjamin does not have any "boy" toys. He was very excited to play with a dump truck and spent much of the time pushing the truck around...we don't have any trucks at home. In the other picture he is looking at dog books...thanks Auntie Lisa for the great cloth dog book...he loves it (technically you gave this to Lily but I think it has been passed down...)

Benjamin is starving...Not really!

Benjamin got sick one night last week so the next day we decided not to give him any solid food. As most of you would suspect, he was not happy about this. During breakfast I nursed him as he looked longingly at Lily's oatmeal (or oapmeal as she calls it.) At lunch he seemed very frustrated we would not share our hummus sandwich and grapes. By midday he somehow got into the diaper bag and pulled out an apple while Lily and I were in the other room. I will have to say I was shocked that he could bite into the skin of an apple with only two bottom teeth (that have not even fully come in!) He sat eating the apple and I let him have it since he must have worked hard to get it. He easily ate over half of the apple including the area with the seeds, goes to show this boy will never starve!

A little video of Benjamin taking a bath. He doesn't usually take a bath by himself so it was really cute to see him explore a bit. Yes, he is drinking water from the faucet and yes he is chewing on the faucet.

There's hope! This video shows Lily and Benjamin sweetly playing together at the park. Benjamin adores Lily and laughs with her the most.
